Day 01: My Relocation to Puerto Princesa, Palawan

Expect a journal-entry-like post from me today because I wanna share with you this new chapter that I opened for myself. But please do enjoy reading, because I am about to share new learnings and experiences as I embrace my becoming a full-fledge traveling freelancer and content creator.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Call me a late-bloomer but, yeah, at the age of 40, I accepted a job like this. It is not something that many people around me understand, but honestly, I don't care. Because as far as I know, the people who know me and love me support me all the way.  And I think, that's all that should matter.

Today is my first day here in Puerto Princesa. I am originally from Olongapo City but decided to relocate to Castillejos, Zambales with my family during the pandemic.

So, yeah, according to Google Map, I am 978km from home.

I landed a job here as a content creator for a hotel that's gonna open in December 2022. It's a fitness resort. I'll talk about it some more on my other blogs.

I like that job. It's very much like what I do in my freelancing so, I like doing it-- and that should be the case, right? And that is an option that I am reserving for myself Not much learning curve is involved, which will make the transition more manageable. So there's my reason why I'm here.

Since I started my freelancing, I have been dreaming of a job like that, where you will be able to travel and keep working, you know. So, I love it.

The only downside is, of course, I am away from my family but it's not a very big deal nowadays because of the internet, right? It's so much easy to connect with family members already even though you're far from them, everyone is just one video call away. Plus the fact that it's not so hard to travel back and forth anymore. Airports are now open (most of them) since people are fully vaccinated now. There are 'normals' that we got used to already, like wearing masks and social distancing (at times) but I think, those are pretty much needed for health safety.

I'm super excited about this new chapter of my life. I mean, I've always dreamt of being able to travel and work at the same time. Next week will be busy, so, I'm just settling down right now and getting to know people and workflow. So, that's it for now.

I made a simple vlog of my Day 01 here in Puerto Princesa >> Relocating to Palawan (as Content Creator + Freelancer)

A little favor, please. If you could like. share and subscribe. I am aiming to create content about freelancing, productivity, and online business-building without the 'overwhelm'.
